this is the original trailer to the film, before the excellent Vangelis score was added.
In my opinion there should only be two versions of this film. The original release, and a modified Director's Cut (that has a greater emphasis on the soundtrack) and does not include the Unicorn dream sequence.
[For fans of the movie:
The Blade Runner script and how the movie was ultimately put together is quite different from the book. In the book the Replicants try to trick Deckard into thinking he may be one of them. In the film there is no ambiguity here, Deckard is not a Replicant, there are no real clues that he might be. The only clue that might lead someone to thinking that Deckard may be something other than he appears is the confusing Unicorn dream sequence that was put into the first Director's Cut. People who are unaware of the Replicant/human debate will not have any idea as to the significance of the unicorn (it'll just be a weird happenstance). One other bone of contention is the number of Replicants mentioned at the start, which is 6. This is a scripting error. It should have been 5. The script was altered and the number was not. Otherwise there is NOTHING to indicate that Deckard might be anything other than a tired human being. The script works best with Deckard as a not so superhuman joe trying to deal with these offworld superbeings who are looking to prolong their lives. Trying to force a connection, with Deckard as one of the Replicants is very misguided. My apologies to Mr Scott ! You made an awesome film, try to accept what you have done !!]
